$283.2 Billion in reserves, a "surprise" 50 basis points, plus who knows what other obscene PPT efforts and we have the DOWn -7.3% and NASD -8.3% in 2 days.

& '98 lows were ~2000 Dow points higher than "irrational exuberance" levels.

Problem is, most folks are still way down even with higher indexes.
I've read psych studies that say that's the worst kind of depression, when
they have to go on and on (~5 years since irrational exuberance?) thinking
it's just them. They'd never know otherwise watching CNBC or referring
to pleasing gov't statistics & infinitely recalculated CPI excluding inflated items,
or the almost total lack of interest paid for a decade of savings (luckily
there's been no inflation <ng>), and the infinite minimum payment scheme
on a gracious offering of credit card & mortgage debt (up to 120% of one's
inflated home).

Allowing the media to lead their cause, recent gov't has allowed
big brother/big business to wage a financial and psychological attack against its
citizens as a reward for moving from a single 40 hour per week wage earner to
dual earners with a preferable 60 hour work week. Now we've lost another generation
of kids who didn't have a parent at home for their most impressionable years.
Accidental?
