CB, I didn't threaten to sue you. <I am delighted that you are threatening to sue me> I merely pointed out that it is tortuous to make up defamatory stories about people. It's also bad to claim somebody said something, then prove that what they didn't say is wrong, then assert victory, which is a habit you have.

You should breathe slowly, read more carefully, engage brain and enjoy life a little more. I don't think anyone takes you seriously enough to believe what you write about me. They can judge for themselves anyway. So I'm not too worried and have no thoughts of contacting a lawyer.

This is a waste of bandwidth so I think I'll leave you to declare victory...I hereby, heretofore and herewith bite the dust...you have won again. Well done CB. You have scalps galore to boast about.

MightLakers, re your previous post, my sentiments exactly.

CU later,
Mq

PS: <You Have Obviously Mistaken Me For Someone Who Gives A Rat's Ass About Your Opinion.> Is that what they teach you at charm school or law school?

CB - got to admit, it looks like a few deep breaths are in order.

It is strange indeed how resented you have become. Not for being evil or bad. But merely for asserting your rights in the business of the thread. Taking all comers on any topic and giving no quarter. Isn't that what being a thread superpower is all about?

Perhaps we have here on this thread our very own microcosm of the global stage. And for reasons I can not fathom, your perspective is not unlike that of the US. As Jay's is not unlike that of China. Kastel, like Canada (eh?). And Maurice maintains that peculiar and fiesty upside-down perspective common to the kiwis...

And the rest of us? Well, from our positions of lesser power we circle and play our small parts as the world revolves (I volunteer to play Bermuda for the time being) and the sun shifts its light.

Thank goodness however our terrorists have only verbs and nouns and adjectives and the other nastier parts of speech as their weapons. And they should give thanks to whomever they pray that the superpowers have only electron bombs, not their bretheren of nastier Neutrons and other Nuclear particles. And everyone can be thankful that wars and victories and defeats are merely words etched on phosphorus.

Because it seems as though hostilities have finally flared.

This is, as it always was, a very fine thread.

And just like it is back in the real world, now is a time for cool heads. Being right isn't always the right solution. Not if it leaves the bitter taste that preceeds revenge. Which is wrong, to be set More Right... then more revenge... I'm not sure such a spiral has a happy ending.

Even if it appears to be the right one. Maybe we should take a bit more care to just get along.

Here and in the real world.

John.
