CB, since the Russian entered Afghanistan there was no peace there. At the time with all their force the Russian were unable to control the land they controlled several cities and the connecting roads. From that to assume a take over of Pakistan as imminent is quite optimistic. ...... and that was my point. As to Taliban, within all religious extremist it is common practice that the movement pretending being the savior and representative of the prophet succeeds.
