Probably a reaction to yesterday's rate cuts, plus a perceived (misguided IMO) "flight-to-safety"...people think the GSE's are a wing of the government at this point, and I'm sure investors will expect them to be treated like one when the inevitable problems arise (ie, equity investors will be expecting to be "made whole").
