Ladies & gentlemen some advice please:
My son has a degree in computer sciences and has been unable to find anything except some now and then contract work. He is planing on taking a course for Microsoft networking certification. (MCSE). I have no problem with this except that I believe most networks in the future will be running Linux and suggested he get a Linux certification instead. The advice of any of the pros on this thread will be appreciated. Also if anyone knows of any opening for a CS major in the NYC area please also advise. TIA, hcm1943

Thanks for the link to Enditall2. I'm testing it now. From a layman's point of view the new interface is very confusing. I guess it's telling me a whole bunch more than I wanted to know. As non-expert end users we just want the program to shut down everything that's safe to shut down with as little trouble as possible. I finally tried just using the killall button and it closed everything that was viewable in the normal Close Programs window(except Systray and Explorer) so it did accomplish the same thing as the original EndItAll .
