Quehubo, some leaders don't mind being underestimated and use that to their advantage. I hope this is the case with the president.

I actually admire the restraint Bush has used so far. The terrorists and troublemakers all fled Kabul immediately after the attack. The only people left there are the ones who are so poor that they can't afford to leave. Bombing those people would have been BY FAR the dumbest thing this country has done in recent history.

Same with the Afghan military installations. They immediately moved everything after the incident. Bombing empty buildings? Wow, that would have really showed them!

Finding and garrotting their financing/financiers will probably be the most effective thing the civilized world can do. I have no moral issues whatsoever with the killing of people who knowingly and willingly finance terrorists, even if they are americans. That's part of war.

The other thing we can do is wait for the Talisban leaders to come out of their holes, and then kill all of them during one of their meetings. Leave a message attached to their bodies that we'll be back again if needed. That would send a message without killing innocent people.
