Two alternate future outcomes

One:

Everyone wears black accented with silver. Martial law is the rule of the day.

Two:

Everyone wears pastels. Freedom to pursue one's desires rules. Basic needs are met by staggering improvements in productivity.

The first question;

What do you see 6 months out? 18 months? 5 years?

The second question:

What do you think the market is in the process of discounting? A black and silver, or pastel future?

The third question:

If the bulk of the thinking is currently in the process of discounting black and silver, don't the probabilities suggest that risk and reward are gradually being slanted to bets on the pastel future?
