We could have installed our own Iraqi puppet, or the turned the country over the Kuwaitis, or the Saudis, or whatever. We could have taken over the whole frickin' region ourselves. There were lots of other measures we could have taken besides leaving Saddam in power in order to maintain a military presence in the region, if that was our intention. >>...but we seem to have made some people very pissed off over there for a very long time, so pissed off that they could actually plan and execute their plan last week. I say we better stop pissing them off for a start as we embark on the "war against terrorism" <<< This is just stupid. We should stop pissing terrorists off before we go to war against them? WTF do you mean? We should fight them nicely so they won't get upset as we kill them?
