Hi Web Myst; Rambus had an agreement with Intel that Intel wasn't going to use DDR until 2003. Intel had to pay Rambus $200 million to get out of the agreement. The $200 million eventually goes into the pockets of the class action lawyers, (who are suing for $10 billion in damages), when Rambus is forced to settle for 10 cents on the dollar.

Right now, there are more important things going on in the world than Rambus. Like Steve Lee said over on his trading thread, the one stock wonders haven't capitulated yet.

Don't expect to see much of me around until the situation in the Middle East clarifies. Rambus just isn't much of a worry to me right now. Yeah, you'd be higher if the stock market had been open for the past week.

I have a bet to the effect that RMBS will be below ~$18 at the end of the year. So far, I'm doing fine. My other statement is that it will be below $8 on some date in April 2002. I think I made another statement to the effect that it would be in the "low single digits" by later in 2002. I still feel comfortable with each of these.
