It's ok Harry, we're all in this together.

It looks like we are going to go back to the grand old days of the FBI (HUAC etc.) when domestic surveillance was commonplace.

BTW: we've had our share of moles and infiltrators before. The CPUSA had thousands of "fellow travellers" in gov't, industry, science, & education in this country. There was even a suspected communist (Frank Oppenheimer) who was the brother of the leading scientist involved in the most secret project ever mounted in this country during a time of a world-wide crisis: the Manhattan Project during WWII.

We've also had our share of organized criminals and their support networks.

You've no doubt noticed that neither is a real problem anymore.

Our country has prided itself on judging people by the content of their character instead of by race, religion, or by ethnicity. IMO that will still be the case now. Our personal lives may be inconvenienced in minor ways, but I doubt there will be any massive loss of civil liberties for law-abiding Americans.
