We as in this thread and some other market discussion threads on SI may be in negative sentiment territory.

BUT - there is plenty of positive sentiment on the company specific threads where the "one stock wonders" and fanatics hang out. These people have not capitulated yet in general. Even those on margin have largely survived being wiped out.

And in the media at large, there are many reports of the selling being overdone and due for a bounce.

On CBS today, the lower than expected trade gap is seen as good news. I don't see it that way. Here's how I see it:

1) Exports are down
2) Imports are down
3) Exports are down by a higher percentage than imports
4) Exports are less than imports

All of the above is tending on the side of bad news.
