3. I am also sick to death of hearing how difficult this is going to be. Whatever it takes is just fine with me. I don't care how long it takes and I don't care how much it costs. I agree with your point three, the I don't care what it takes part, not necessarily the sick to death part. Karen

As for your points 1 and 2; I want MY President... ..like he was some kind of lightweight... ...and how it freaked out our allies. Screw them. You must remember that, while YOUR President is also our President, not everyone shares your enthusiasm. We all support him because he is THE President, not necessarily because of he is who he is. I think he still has a long way to go to disabuse people of the lightweight image. I have stated on this thread this week that I have confidence in his team's ability to figure out what to do. I don't happen to think that he's the strongest member of that team. I've been reflecting a bit these last few days about the way he's communicating with us about the situation. He's speaking slowly in short, simple sentences in a style that seems to suggest a cowboy hat. In part, the style has seemed comforting. In part, I don't know. He sounds like a cross between John Wayne and Forrest Gump. I haven't made up my mind about that yet. Regarding freaking out our allies, we've already had that discussion and you know my opinion on it. Karen
