Classic case for Marshall Plan or TVA. This is where government spending works best. WW2 ended the depression. Eventually the same will happen here. As for taxes we should repeal the portions of the tax cut(inheritance tax for example) that dont make sense and step up tax relief to the unemployed and low wage folks(payroll cut). We should encourage folks to spend as they see fit. Not time to worry about the rich. If patriotism is not enough of an incentive they can move to Afghanistan. mike
