We do not simply separate state from religion. We do not impose religious practices on the populace, or force them to pay for a church establishment. However, we do hire chaplains, print "In God We Trust" on money, and conduct non- sectarian memorial services at the National Cathedral. It makes no sense to expect people to utterly compartmentalize, as if their religious beliefs had nothing to do with their response to such a crisis.......
