I think it shameful people would attack a heartfelt wish of comfort and safety to all Americans. God Bless America is one of the few songs that brings a tear to my eyes everytime I hear it. When Jessye Norman sang it for Clinton's second inauguration, I cried like a baby.

In either case, someone's ox is gored. Why should those of faith be deprived of normal expression of their sentiments, because someone doesn't like it? It is merely a form of censorship, because one doesn't like some public expression....... I seem to recall that you were arguing the other day that people should stifle their sentiments that could be offensive to Muslims. This war has religious overtones.
