another idea of people not familiar with the Islamic Fundamentalist culture .......... those locations will be prime targets for slaughter by the Taliban ............ they will be ALL - NON BELIEVERS!!!!

Just read the most recent religious edicts from Hamas, Hizbolah Islamic Jihad etc. that were published by various news papers.

JoaT, possibly a good idea, but very difficult to actually implement. one reason is communications, which don't exist within Afghanistan. the country is in fact on the verge of a famine, and its infrastructure remains in ruins. how do you let people in far-flung villages know about the camps? most probably don't even know what is happening, since the Taliban have inter alia made television illegal.
