Jack, there is no clean military solution IMHO. I would refrain from any military action at present time for at least 3 months. If I would had a say, I would suggest to concentrate in the financial sector and financial dealings and money transfers. Simple freeze or seize any suspected money. More difficult less popular but not understood by many Muslim as would be a military action. Keep in mind many Muslims are very poor and seizing moneys or proving huge profits by terrorist organization and their supporters will snuff out their support for terrorist organization. Presently those organizations are perceived as steeling from the rich for the poor in many quarters of the Islamic world. Changing perception in this world is more important than a military action IMHO. After that you can move more forcefully in eliminating the various terrorist groups in hte ME BWDIK Haim
