I think so....but I also think the key question is how MUCH will BREW help Qualcomm.

I still disagree with your premise that Java and BREW wont be competing.....which is why it is helpful to be able to analyse the various advantages of both approaches. Since I am not a programmer (and there dont seem to be any BREW developers on these threads), this is tough to do. I would be interested to read the various assumptions which were made in the research report that said BREW would be more successful than Java....unfortunately it is a pay service.

I sort of view BREW vs. Java as CDMA2000 vs. W-CDMA. Both would help Qualcomm, but BREW/CDMA2000 would create more revenue than the other path.
