Well, I am a strong believer in an individual's right to protect themselves and their loved ones. Just think if the Taleban had to worry if all of those women might have a .38 under that Bhurka or hidden in the cookie jar. I suspect that the treatment of the women in Afghanistan may change a little bit. Hell, arming the women of Afghanistan may be the best way to affect a revolution there.

The Taleban will always have a way to arm themselves and the men will always have a way to overpower the women if there are no firearms. Guns truly are the great equalizer.

US should, and must make sure no one gives Taalibans weapons....thats all it will take...and it may be harder to do that, but it will be more, much more effective. FOr this, a coalition is needed, a strong intelligence is needed...
