TP, for your peace of mind, use the ignore feature. I probably have 100 people if not more on ignore.
In order to read some threads quickly, I used the ignore feature to eliminate posts that I didn't want to read.
In many instances, it wasn't even personal. I just didn't have time to read all the posts.

I heard the airline industry may lay off 40,000 or maybe it was 44,000 people.Boeing will lay off 30,000 or so.

How safe are the domestic pets in your area? Did the police find any leads?

My job about as safe as any right now, but if things get much worse
whole companies will be disappearing.

I was startled to learn that jobs are disappearing by the thousands in Singapore and probably the rest of Asia. I read a recent issue of The Economist while I waited for a doctor's appointment yesterday.

If that's not bad enough the magazine reported severe water shortages in parts of Canada and the pressure
on Canada to sell water to the US.

Then, last night on PBS I saw part of a story about future water shortage because of global warming and how
the shortage is likely to spark international wars.

Looks like Congress still thinks about Capital gains tax cut. In all this turmoil, it seems like such a stupid
idea as I believe it would only benefit a few people.

If Congress wants to do something related to the stock markets, they should increase the amount that
a person can write off against ordinary income for one year. Currently, it is $3,000. A few years back
it was $5,000. Most everyone has lost money so this approach seems more sensible to me than a capital
gains cut.
