not so simple really, Fred
as for naming one, easy, I can

my friend Amer Had*******
his father was born in Palestine before WW2
his mother was born in Greece
his father now resides in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Amer has a rich supply of stories
of Saudi resentment
of AbuDabi summer heat and mixed feelings toward West
of Greek customs (including clever methods to preserve virginity)
of Irish stewardesses living in UAE and Bahrain

for the record, I agree with you though
Arabs are as split as the Italians, maybe worse
attack one though, and they all respond

I remember from my history days (and "Lawrence of Arabia")
that Arabs can never seen to engage in a League of Nations organization
OPEC is the only proxy for such an endeavor
and even that is routine undermined

Palestinians are the Arab refuse, no doubt
but I gotcha on knowing one living in an Arab nation

is it a coincidence that Dubya and US leaders refused to attempt negotiation between Israel and Palestine over the West Bank and recent violence of settlements?
and the timing of the World Trade attacks?

I think not
there is no doubt in my mind that a concerted vigorous and sincere effort to continue negotiations and peace talks would help to alleviate the tensions
and might prevent the motivation for future attacks

but sometimes I see a Democrat under every rock
