In the late seventies. the new boss came to town. Every so often I'd get a note from him about some business matter with an "FU" scrawled across the bottom.

When we first got a chance to quaff a pint at the local pub together (well, in Pittsburgh a "Pub" is a "Shot and Beer Joint"), I asked him what "FU" was supposed to mean. Follow up, he replied.
