In short, they made asses out of the greatest and most powerful country on earth with box cutters?

"giving money to lunatics is dangerous."

How about understanding then?

"I think they gave the enemy $43 million earlier this year to help them out but instead they launched an attack on us"

I don't recall the Afghan govt declaring war on the US. Oh - there is this crazy bastard over there training and funding other zealots to do bad things to others....I didn't forget about that trust me and I'm not defending them in any manner - I just feel that statements like this are not accurate but inflammatory....but I understand your motivation completely.

Here's some truth:
Thhe US govt did NOT give this money to the terrorists.
Afghanistan did NOT attack the US. This is rhetoric and not truth.

I know I know - they harbor the terrorists so they are guilty. Okay - then gun manufacturers are guilty of murder whenever someone is killed with a firearm. I mean - isn't that saying the same thing?

But we accept this argument because we WANT to - it gives us a target to hit and get our revenge. It feeds the bloodthirst people are feeling (I'm guilty of this too at times). I know this is wrong and killing innocent people makes us just as bad as them no matter how you want to explain/excuse it.

"giving money to lunatics is dangerous." and yet its been American policy over the last half of the 20th Century to do just that. People like Marcos, Noriega, Shah of Iran, even Saddam when he was fighting the Ayatollah! Do you feel that the US govt has finally learned its lesson?

Personally - the US should stop ALL financial aid of all countries for a while. Let's see just what the world opinion will be then.....will they be dancing in the streets? I doubt it!

We have much more power than just a military - I just hope that more people can see that.
