I think the people like successful wars. If we can bring Osama to justice in the next month, then the market will adjust upwards and we'll be ok. After Osama, of course, the US will have to continue their concerted attack on terrorism, but I think America will have lost interest after Osama gets his.

Of course, I'll still be reading up on our war on terrorists and writing my congressman to vent my frustration/happiness years from now. We'll see.

One thing to consider Eric. We were in a recession when that happened. We are at the BEGINNING of one now. I know no one has or will admit it at this point in time just like no one would believe/admit that the markets could go this low. I have heard a comparison or WWII, JFK shooting, Gulf War, etc etc about 10,000 times in the last week. People looking for anything to keep their HOPE up. Not to say we don't rally as I think we will (put money on it today). FWIW
