Can Technology and money overcome the advancing hoards of barbarians, brainwashed by their leaders to hate the Technology and money that dominate the world today? This is a classic struggle of change versus tradition, yet it is also a classic reach for power. The ousted Saudi rebel leader is just a man in search of his destiny. In the context of his belief system, that destiny is to provide cohesion for the Muslims to build an Empire. He is educated. His people, for the most part, are not. He understands the art of war, especially that of covert operations insurgency. He has built a cellular network of misguided fanatics under his control that share his purpose. His weapons are suicidal human foot missiles. He has built an infrastructure to recruit, train, deploy and support his weapons until they reach their target. Can we also glean from the obvious that he has provided the means to sustain the infrastructure in the event of his demise? In carelessly launching cruise missiles into their tent base in Afghanistan during the Clinton administration, we gave him exactly what he wanted... fame. Within the past few years, the Muslims of Afghan have come to adore him. Why? Because he dares to defy the Super Power. Throughout the Muslim world hate is being taught in the schools... hate of the Christians, hate of the Jews, hate of the free world and general hate of anything that challenges or does not conform to their religious precepts. These people are trained to hate from birth and make no attempt to understand what it is that they hate. And with so much hatred, anyone who is able to focus and deliver a blow, such as happened to the World Trade Center, is a lightening rod for Muslim Power. These people are not seeking political advantage. They want the world to change into their warped concept of Muslim Nirvanna... OR ELSE! They seek to destroy civilization and murder all who do not conform to their beliefs. They want us to force our women to wear veils over their faces and hide their bodies. They want us to kill our sisters if they do not remain a virgin until marriage. They want us to disavow OUR religions, what ever they might be, and conform to theirs, or ... they ... will ... murder ... us. These people will only accept their own annihilation, or ours, as a solution to this conflict. That's how bad it is. The legitimate Muslim mainstream, if there is such a concept in the Muslim world, has a lot of work to do. The extremists are gaining in numbers. The extremists will turn this into a conflict of Muslims versus The World if they are not stopped. The only force that can stop this kind of fanaticism before it turns into a massive blood bath is leadership from within the Muslim community. Left unchecked, the extremists will willingly recruit and throw the entire Muslim population onto the spears of their imagined enemy. And in a war of attrition, Technology will win. HerbVic
