We have a lot of knuckleheads in the world. I agree. The problem is, it is tough to tell the nitwits from the smart ones until after you give them an opportunity to do something stupid. Once everyone is taking a bus, or just not travelling because it has become such a pain in the ass (no carry-on luggage and every 6th or 7th flight gasses all the passengers with one or two deaths every couple months), what do you suppose is going to happen? (Also, I'm a little surprised at how easily you can dismiss my right to the pursuit of happiness. You put that in quotes, I assume that that is Thomas Jefferson you are paraphrasing, since I can't really take credit for it) You seem surprised by the thought that the price of travelling by plane might go up after this. Are you really? Now, you don't need to yell <<NEED CARRY ONS? GO TALK TO GREYHOUND!!!>> There probably will just be fewer people who decide to fly from Milwaukee to Minneapolis (or wherever). Imagine you own an airline. After you yell at all of those passengers you desperately need, what do you think is going to happen? Remember all the noise about people allergic to peanuts? Now, don't worry about peanuts, we're going to just anesthetize everyone on the plane. I just tried to take a look at what some of the consequences of what you suggested were. I've lurked a fair amount and I know you are an intelligent person. I'm really curious to hear what you think the consequences of implementing your solution might be? Chris
