My mother ... well she always had the same line whenever my brothers got after me ... Leave your sister alone or your Dad will beat the crap out of you when he comes home. They'd still beat me up and she would try to make up for my getting a beating by making something special for me to eat ... she would refuse to give it to my brothers. I would look at her like she was from another planet! Like food could ever make up for getting the crap kicked out of you. Lola:)
