One implication is that (if you buy even some of the conspiracy theories) there will be no further incentive to keep the price down artificially and it will be allowed to find it's natural price according to normal supply and demand.

Of course if leasing becomes unprofitable then maybe demand will drop and I will be in big trouble :o)

I'm no goldbug, actually an opportunist. I hold quite a bit of gold stock this last year kind of in keeping with my participation on this thread. prior to this binge I've never owned more than maybe 0.5% of my portfolio in gold.
