This brings up something that's been in the back of my mind this week: who in the world would hold over the weekend with all the uncertainty out there? Of course, with the "great down" this week, perhaps more shorts will cover. Still, particularly now that we're hearing that the FBI believes that more terrorist events were planned for Saturday.

Not that I know what this means or portends. Today was the first day this week where we didn't sell off in the last hour (though we did in the last 5 minutes, but it was still a huge recovery). Index options expire tomorrow. Equity on Friday, yes, but I don't think much is getting to max pain this go round. Then again. . . maybe it really is just as simple as "buy Rosh Hashanah, sell Yom Kippur" after all?
