John Casesa, Merrill Lynch

John Casesa, analyst with Merrill Lynch, discussed the auto industry today on CNNfn's 'Street Sweep.' He feels the Big Three automakers, F, GM and DCX, face problems ahead.

Casesa thinks the auto industry will limp by — not quite like the airline industry, but it will mean plant closings, thousands of layoffs and major restructuring. He feels it will be a major tear up, just like in the oil crisis of the early 80's.
