Gee I needed you to point that out :)

But I'll ask you this - did these (I can't really call them people can I?) terrorists, were they born this way? Is there a genetic defect that makes them hate Americans and want to kill us?

You want to kill 1000s of people for the reason of....REVENGE. To me, that's attacking the symptom and not curing the disease. Sort of like killing flies with a shotgun if you ask me.

We don't have a better way to "fix" this problem than killing just everyone over there? Must we create more hatred for the US and our way of life? So we kill a few 1000 of thier people to "get even" - you don't suspect there will be people over there that lost a brother, sister, mother, father, friend who will demand REVENGE too and will plot for the rest of their lives to get it?

How do you plan on stopping them? Oh yeah - kill them all - I forgot about that. Such an intelligent answer. Sounds like a few past leaders we so handily defeated in the last century.

Please don't confuse my thoughts with being a pacifist or a coward - I just don't believe we have to kill them all is the only answer to this puzzle. We won't win this "war on terrorism" with just guns and blood - that's my point in a nutshell.
