<OT > Well; I don't kid myself , I know my TAX ideas are not popular enough these
days and I have no hope for Taxes to move towards them, also I see
any agenda on my part to push for them as an exercise in futility.
------------------
The system would have to completely break down before they
could receive any consideration worth the trouble of me even
detailing them.
-----------------
In general I believe in a progressive tax structure because I believe in the
separation of power & I see clearly how a flat Tax leads to consolidation
of power in a few hands , it's all about power and the power to tax
being the power to destroy, as is the power that winds up in just a few
hands via a flat consumption tax. No matter how you set that up
the powerful will see to it they have the little people paying the
most of the taxes overall; while they monopolize the goods and "prices"
of them and a flat tax plays right into their hand.
----------------
In spite of our advanced technology we are moving back to the
middle ages..I just had what appeared to be a bright young
boy working with me on the boat, he is making good grades
and close to the top in his class, by accident I asked him
to help me do some math ( in our head ) finding a pencil
to do math is often to much trouble for me.
Dam it turned out that bright boy couldn't do crap with
out a Calculator I was shocked.
I'm now convinced that thanks to technology
we are growing a whole new crop of very smart
but brain dead people.

It doesn't look like you wasted your time on the MST to me.. That sounds like an excellent idea.

Currently the gov't only gives the ordinary fellow one choice to shelter his investment savings- his home. That has created a huge bubble in housing, as many have taken advantage of it. I can't blame them, but it has created a dangerous imbalance- particularly when combined with easy credit.

There's been more money lost in real estate than all other investment types combined. While stocks have closed that gap- I doubt they will overtake..
