You seem to feel that the modern terrorist and the military kill civilians for the same reasons.

Harry, you keep wanting to break this out into the good guys and the bad guys. Again, to the person who is dead, there isn't much difference, if any at all, as to who did the killing.

But consider this; who gets blamed in society more? The drunk who gets behind the wheel and kills you by drunkenly crossing the center line, or the guy who crosses the line because he was swerving to miss a child? Both would have killed you; but which one would the law go after.

You are concerned with perception and blame whereas I am more concerned with the level of destruction and death to come from such a conflict. That's why I am choosing to ignore the urgent beating of the war drums that are egging us on, and instead, more focused on finding the way that will best accomplish our objective with the least amount of casualties.
