Good argument I heard on TV. We may not hear it again. If the US is going to recruit the world in a long-term crusade (better term than war) against terrorism, one of the many many items on the list should be to put an end to the quiet financing of the IRA that occurs in (mostly) Boston and NYC. The speaker suggested that the IRA gets a very large part of its resources from here. It's not a "cute" activity that supplements getting sauced and singing Irish tavern songs anymore. It's important that word of this and possible similar activities be spread. Working as agents for foreign governments, financing revolutionary movements abroad, and fighting as an ex-patriot in foreign wars has been illegal for our entire history...
