The article hit the nail on the head - We recall that Anwar Sadat was assassinated for his vision of peace in the Middle East. It might be the case that we should withdraw all foreign aid and leave them to fend for themselves. That will keep them all busy just trying to feed themselves. In the meantime, we should start a 500-day campaign named Operation Fortress to 1. fortify our own homeland defense and get our own house in order, and 2. we Canadians will volunteer our Tar Sands, so that we can simply bite the bullet and stop our dependence on Middle Eastern oil once and for all. We can never be held us hostage again.
