With buyers coming in to fill the void, that down spike looks more like bullish capitulation (positive for longs) than selling at this point. Next 30 minutes are critical and the DOW has to climb back over the lows (it's there now), which it broke 20 minutes ago, to still offer anyone hope of that thing being in a 'flat' correction (a 'c' up to come).

When those down spikes portend an ugly decline, it usually follows a few minutes later as less informed traders get the bad news that the smart money already has positioned for a few minutes earlier.
