I hate to have to be clear here, but your logic is wanting. First, I do not live in San Diego and didn't say I did. Second, I did not say electricity tripled(In fact, I don't remember the multiplier, I just know my San Diegoan friend had informed me of what had happened to their electric bills(doubled? More?- I think) down there LONG before the election). You apparently don't know how prices could rise outside of your part of CA. Ok, fine, you don't know(for your information, local power utilities in CA vary widely from each other in numerous respects). However, they did rise then(LONG before the election).

You say prices were capped in '96, so I guess these reports of rising prices to consumers in the last year+ are false? I don't think so...and I do think you leap to conclusions that could lead you both to many incorrect assumptions, and to say many incorrect things. Sorry, but if you jump to conclusions and represent what I've said this incorrectly, you probably need to be a lot more careful when trying to comprehend many things you come across in life.

Your implied notion that somehow the Presidential election(or the elected) caused blackouts to occur, is surely wrong. I think I saw that someone asked you to explain a logical connection here before- but you did not reply. It is clear you do not understand the realities surrounding energy sales and pricing in CA., because I KNOW your assumption of a cap in this case(which would make my claim impossible to have happened), is incorrect. San Diego screamed about the price rise LONG before the election, as I said.

As for the terrorist bombings, I'm sure we are on the same side...unless you side with the ONE dissenting vote in Congress the other day.

Good Day,

Dan B

Actually there were power alerts for much of the summer last year. I recall only one Stage 3 alert, but a number of stage 2s and 1s. There were no blackouts (I think) because a number of large consumers were ordered to shed (when the State declared a Stage 2) load a several of times last summer. The Governor also ordered all State offices to reduce consumption by at least 5% (I think around July) which also helped.
