I think that were the bears taking profits because there were rumors of a special meeting of the PPT... 1990 was different from now. We did not have a bear market then, it was a cyclical turn of the 20-year Bull market. Things are different now, and the sooner the bulls take a notice, the safer their pockets will be! I think staying out of these markets is a prudent thing...
