i notice you have a flair for misrepresenting people's views. mr buchanan proposed nothing of the sort! he specifically said this was an act of war on american citizens that should not go unpunished. he said we should hunt down those responsible and make them pay. and he wasn't talking about dragging them into court. he was talking about obliterating them.

the main distinction he made was that after we punished those responsible, we should reexamine our policy of interventionism and we should extricate ourselves from wars that are not ours to fight, and that we cannot win or solve. obviously i am paraphrasing him but you get the idea.

there is a major distinction between standing up for innocent americans and starting a protracted holy war which will cost many more american lives where we stand nothing to gain.

listen, it's real simple. if you believe we have the duty or moral obligation to impose what we believe is right on the entire world, i'm sure we can save some defenseless people. we will kill many defenseless people in the process, as we already have done.

you simply have to ask yourself the question, how many americans are you willing to sacrifice, in order to impose our notion of right vs wrong in the world.

what price are you willing to pay?
