I also expect that the extremes we are seeing in hotel occupancy rates and airline seat utilization won't last long.

FWIW the chairman of WestJet, a regional Canadian air carrier, reports that traffic is back to normal levels.

"the difference between a child being bad and just behaving badly. ;-)" I am not sure, but for what it worth, I didn't think you were behaving that badly LOL. As for tourism, travel and leisure, a hit in this area by itself before any multiplier effect will kick the crap out of the labor market. All of the companies in that sector will lay people off immediately rather than in six months as is so common when corporate layoffs are announced and these companies will also cut capital expenditures -- they are big users of technology of all kinds. When you post something -- like challenging the idea that we are headed for 7 percent unemployment -- you might want to at least pause before saying something, especially if you know nothing about the subject -- my good man.
