Only you have written such silly claims. would you advocate trading the life of one american to save the life of two somalians? or two albanians? or two israelis? if not why not? It would depend on the specifics of the situation. Why is their life at risk? who else can assist them? how effective would help be? just exactly what ratio would be acceptable to you? would you lay down your life so two albanians can be spared from serb aggression? You illustrate quite correctly how idiotic talk about a fixed ratio is. Yet that is exactly what Pat Buchanan proposed.
