Oh please say "hegemony" (or some made up variation of it) again. I love it when you use big words. ;-)

...sitting at home safe pecking away at your computer so it's easy for you to act all patriotic and dutiful.

Easy for you to say, knowing that I'm well past the age where I could enlist if I wanted to. You have no idea what I would or wouldn't do, so don't pretend you do.

...why did he kill 6 million of them before we stopped him?

Hmm. Could it be because isolationism kept us from acting earlier, when he was just putting them in slave labor camps and sending his armies to take over neighboring countries ("oh, but he'll stop with the Sudetenland")? Come on, Craig. You're smarter than that.

oh i see. the serbs are all that is evil ...

Now where did I say that? And you accuse Alomex of twisting your words?

You (and Patzi) act like this is a matter of revenge, that any other intervention is just "trading" and American life for someone less worthy. Engagement is intended to avoid military intervention and save lives. Military intervention should never be for revenge, should be avoided if possible, and if it can't be avoided, should proceed in a manner that maximizes results and minimizes risk (both in the conflict and afterward). If it was simply a matter of "sacrificing" Americans, then it would be pretty stupid, wouldn't it?
