SERRANO and JOHN-THOR DAHLBURG, Times Staff Writers WASHINGTON -- FBI and CIA officials were advised in August that as many as 200 terrorists were slipping into this country and planning "a major assault on the United States," a high-ranking law enforcement official said Wednesday. The advisory was passed on by the Mossad, Israel's intelligence agency. It cautioned that it had picked up indications of a "large-scale target" in the United States and that Americans would be "very vulnerable," the official said. It is not known whether U.S. authorities thought the warning to be credible, or whether it contained enough details to allow counter-terrorism teams to come up with a response. But the official said the advisory linked the information "back to Afghanistan and [exiled Saudi militant] Osama bin Laden." it's all Clinton's fault.... RIGHT! as in WING! CC

McNamara carefully avoided apologizing for anything HE was personally responsible for. It was a typical "mistakes were made" non apology that did more harm than good for this country. It was one final stab in the back of those who fought and even died because their country asked them to. He would have done better to keep his fat face shut.

All the lying on Vietnam came from the left wing media and the "peace movement", who are responsible for leaving South Vietnam in slavery for 25 years. They didn't care, since their hatred, like that of the terrorists, is entirely directed against the US and no one else. They will take their toll, eventually, on the nation as it tries to fight this new crusade. Their silence is gradually breaking. Robert McNamera's insanity goes back before Vietnam. His stupidity is legend. He exemplifies the worst of America in the 20th century, and should be in a rest home, rather than on television...

The only lies were from the Left. I was in the Military late sixties and early seventies. Most of the left wing were draft dodgers and Clinton types. Do you know the disgust I had watching Clinton don a military uniform. Left wing made a final attack on Robert and I personally did not take it as an apology only a clarification. As far as your minority Crock I think those skeptical minorities should go to the warzone and realize the utmost terror a human can experience the lump in your throat, the fear of dying to free the slaves of people that were being abused, the pounding of the heart so loud you are afraid the enemy (whoever they may be) will hear the pounding and kill you. Left wing rarely have I seen ever been that of patriots or even standing their ground to fight for the right instead they sit back on their glorifious thrones and twist everything possible. The left wing is anti-american ... plain and simple but those soldiers that dies dies so you can do this that you do. If you were in any other country you would probably be assassinated. So you continue to spin and twist your anti-americanism but the left wing I belive should be the first to go to war ... Of course most of the left wing would probably get "Fragged" IF and I say IF they make it through boot camp. Terrorists whether the physical like Islamic or the terrorists of words (left wing) use any tactic to instill fear, doubt, uncertainity and of course anti-americanism.
