Frank, At the time of the post, I was actually thinking of a 4th Qtr 2001 slowdown with a continuation into Q1/Early Q2 2002.

In my original post, I never really provided a timeframe. (On the original SD thread you always had to leave yourself an out so that you could spin it anyway you wanted - LOL)

What amazes me here is that I still do not see the mass panic of the average investor. Sure they are starting to think about moving their 401K from company stock to fixed income, but not in that "fire in the theater" sort of way.

I am in total agreement with SOB. Greenspan is simply looking to avoid an utter collapse.

Having arrived at the PM party very early (Before the Band started warming up), I am simply sitting tight and waiting for the crowd to come on in. - (No cover charge before 9pm)
