I don't think the people at TheStreet.com are going to be too upset if I post this Trader's Note from Todd Harrison:

... there are two ways to react to adversity. We can toss in the towel and give in to our frustrations or we can pick ourselves up by the bootstraps and come back to battle tomorrow. Last night, my friend asked me how I was doing, and I told her "The honest answer is... I don't know -- but the only way I know how to deal with hardship is to work harder and be stronger"

That's what we'll do this time. Together.

Over the last year, we've had some good runs, and we've had some tough times, but we've found our way to the other side. As I said earlier, I hold myself fully accountable for the mistakes I'll invariably make. You'll never hear me tell you that I've been a seller when I'm buying or I'm buyer as I'm selling-it's not my style. My trading decisions certainly wont always be right, but with luck, we will learn from our mistakes and move forward with our lessons in tow.

Meanwhile, one of my trading buddies just called to talk tape and said "What a disaster." I told him that this isn't a disaster...it's a bad day in the market. If nothing else, we've learned perspective this last week. This market isn't fun, but there are plenty of people who would gladly exchange a bad week of trading for the opportunity to spend one more day with a loved one. Don't beat yourself up... go home and take advantage of the time we have.

After all, tomorrow is promised to nobody.

Sounds like you took a financial fall, Iqbal. Indeed it will rise. You will be surprised from now till the next peak in 2007; do not let the short term trouble you now.

It is soon time for seeds and water in all things and unexpected gardens are yet to be born.
