To you and the Wind: Opinions are one thing, but the twisted commentary around here got so bad that anyone could easily be sucked into believing at least half of it. Many technically minded folks had their turn here...and some of he best technical minds on SI associated with folks who obviously had foreknowledge of the great and criminal TERN bash/LIE report by Pluvia here. Are there no hopeful & honest longs left to tout TERN these days(were there ever?) Does anyone believe in the internet anymore? I heard today that AT&T is selling out its broadband unit(my initial thought? Losers taking an extreme step in error, on a possibly grand scale...I need to look into this more!) But perhaps the internet will prove truly useless(don't hold your breath). TERN makes its own Docsis certified chipsets now. These DOCSIS certified chipsets include Tern's S-CDMA within them RIGHT NOW, and so though more advanced, are Docsis 1.1 certified compatible. So though Cablelabs has yet to begin certifying Docsis 2.0 modems, Tern's chipsets offer 2.0 capabilities now. They are alone in this, I gather. Is TERN ahead of the game? Or what? All things being equal, does anyone still think the great bash against TERN was on target)? I just can't get over how ready CMTO investors were to speak up often to trash TERN, yet now what one of them stops by to say "Gee, looks like the best minds chatting away about DOCSIS & TERN were wrong." Who wants to come say "looks like I shouldn't have said that about TERN/S-CDMA, obviously I was offbase, I guess Zaki(a TERN founder, CEO) really was speaking innocently and honestly when he stated DOCSIS "2.0" will include S-CDMA, and here's what I think now, here's where I erred...here's why TERN was included in DOCSIS despite the panning of the notion from all SI technowizards and me too, and here are the honest possibilities for the potential bright future TERN may well have after all."(and who can envision that anyway, in this market?) Heck, noone is even bothering to say TERN still sucks despite the news(and if you bought at $150.00, it surely "still" does suck, though if you are buying now, it may well be grrrrreat!....all in the numbers). So you are right, me thinks, about vested interests, especially in a rising market. Yak yak yak they go...but no mo...it's all silence now...it's all in the numbers, I reckon. Without a confident market for any stock, it seems there is no perceived significant advantage to bashing the competition anymore, while fear of falling markets leaves the touts largely afraid to tout much either(and this is the real sadness...after all, what better time to tout then when blood is in the streets, literally, and the opportunity to buy technology as low as low has been for sometime, has been upon us!). Technology will fluctuate wildly up again, someday. Then , I figure, they will all be back! Hurray! Freedom works, Dan B
