Proton, I hope rumors remain rumors and no more.

That makes many of us!

I spent so much time reading up on the Black September battles and their aftermath that I missed the reference to the Tokyo attack. M.E. terror groups are drawn to September.

I don't think dates, but weather and opportunity have more to do with timing.

Macro and micro, J.G. Pick a meaningful period, then wait for the optimal conditions.

UPI now reports that investigations do not support September 22 attack plan:

A number of media reports have singled out Saturday, Sept. 22, as the date for a second wave of attacks. But Justice Department officials said Wednesday that information has been examined and rejected.

"We don't have any credible evidence of any threat on Sept. 22," department communications chief Mindy Tucker said. " … There has been a lot of information pertaining to Sept. 22. We have taken a look at that information," but investigators now believe that intelligence to be mistaken.

We must always be careful with rumours, even when propagated by the mainstream press.
