Why don't you start with the government lifting the rboc tariffs on the local loop.

It turns out that digital transmission would be a snap if the rbocs under government protection and direction did not artificially LIMIT the copper wires natural ability to transmit data, inorder that they could charge more for isdn!!!

Well, you're right, I think what you propose is a DUMB idea.

Everything the government does costs thirty times as much as private enterprise.

REALLY deregulate the phone system, instead of just bullshitting about it, we'll have that stuff installed in six months. Who owns the local loop anyway??? the phone company or the people that paid for it??
