hell i ain't even a republican techie(and never have been nor ever will be:);but we are up against realities now and the stock market had lost all reality way before this--the economy isn't that bad it is the market was always pricing itself way over what economy actually was----these events are only getting the market to a rational foundation in my view---remember this was the biggest bubble in history.Paxmax p.s.FDR was a Democrat.Truman a Democrat.Woodrow Wilson a Democrat--war is not the ownership of one party.Kennedy/LBJ-Democrats for that matter(Kennedy was himself hooked on the erroneous Domino Theory that sucked us into Nam)

Republicans and Wars:
I seem to recall that America's involvement in three of four of this century's major wars has been initiated by Democratic presidents. Also, it seems unreasonable to blame Bush for planning a response to the Sept 11th attack. If he said no response was planned, I don't think the American people would accept that.
