All philosophers are speculators, some better than others. Do you think that to be a philosopher you have to always know exactly what you're talking about? Part of the job description is the admission that you don't know what your talking about and, more importantly, the willingness to explain to your more or less cocky brethren that they don't either.

You have a problem with dead guys? News: Most people that have lived are now dead. Some were smart and offered lots of suggestions worth listening to. Christ is dead. Mohammed is dead. Moses is dead. Poincare is dead. Einstein is dead. Max Planck is dead. T.H. Morgan is Dead. T.H. Lawrence is dead along with Shakespeare. Bohr is dead. So is Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio. So's my dad.
